If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.
Services Description
TruMark QC provides quality control services, carried out on behalf of the buyer, including but not limited to:
- Pre-shipment, during-production, and pre-production inspections
- Factory audits and supplier verification assessments
- Laboratory testing coordination and certification support
- Container loading supervision
- Social compliance audits
- Detailed inspection reports with photographs and findings
Booking & Payment
- All inspections must be booked through our website, client dashboard, or via direct communication with your account manager
- Payment is due upon booking confirmation unless otherwise agreed in a service contract
- Bank transfer, or approved invoicing (NET-30) for enterprise accounts.
- Cancellation policy: cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled inspection date are free of charge. Cancellations within 24 hours incur a fee equal to 50% of the inspection cost
Inspection Process
- Sampling is conducted per AQL standards in accordance with ISO 2859-1, with the units examined drawn at random from across the lot, unless the client specifies alternative criteria — what the resulting pass or fail does and does not mean is set out in What an AQL Pass Means below
- All inspectors operate independently and are not affiliated with the factories they inspect
- Unless a different window is agreed in writing, the delivery window we commit to is 24 hours from inspection completion — this is the window referred to in our money-back commitment below
- Inspections cover visual checks, measurements, functionality testing, packaging verification, and any client-specified checkpoints
Reports & Deliverables
- Report ownership: all inspection reports are the property of the client who commissioned the inspection
- Photo usage: photos taken during inspections are included in your report and may be used internally by TruMark QC for quality assurance training, unless you opt out
- Data accuracy: while we make every effort to ensure accuracy, inspection reports represent findings at the time and location of the inspection and are based on statistical sampling — see What an AQL Pass Means below
What an AQL Pass Means
Inspection at an Acceptable Quality Level is a sampling method, and a sampling method is probabilistic by design. This section states what its result is and is not.
- The sample is drawn at random. The sample size and the accept and reject criteria are determined per ISO 2859-1 at the inspection level and AQL agreed with you before the inspector travels. The units examined are drawn at random from across the lot — they are not selected by us for convenience, and they are not presented to us by the factory
- Everything found in that sample is reported. Every defect the inspector records in the units drawn appears in your report, classified as critical, major or minor, whatever the overall verdict turns out to be. Nothing observed is left out in order to reach a result
- A pass is a statement about the sample, not a certificate covering the lot. It means the units drawn met the accept criteria agreed for that inspection. Those criteria tolerate a defect level — that is what an AQL is — so a pass is not a warranty that the lot contains no defective units, and no sampling plan can be made to deliver one
- What follows for this agreement. A result issued on a randomly drawn sample, inspected against the criteria agreed with you, is the deliverable you commissioned, and it remains so if a higher defect rate is later found in units we did not draw. That outcome is outside the Money-Back Commitment below, which is limited to the two conditions stated there
- You decide how much of the lot is examined. The inspection level, the AQL and therefore the sample size are yours to set; our published per-category baselines are a default, not a limit. A tightened inspection level, a larger sample, or inspection of every unit in the lot can be agreed and quoted before the inspection takes place.
Money-Back Commitment
Two things are on us. You are entitled to a full refund of the inspection fee if either of the following applies:
- 1. Your report is not delivered inside the delivery window we committed to for that inspection
- 2. Your report does not cover everything we agreed to inspect
This commitment is limited to these two conditions. It is not a satisfaction guarantee: a report that is delivered on time and covers the agreed scope is not refundable because its findings are unwelcome. Neither condition is a warranty about the goods: the commitment does not respond to a lot that met the accept criteria on the agreed sample and is later found to hold a higher defect rate, for the reasons set out in What an AQL Pass Means above. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of report delivery.
