UNDERSTANDING THE SERVICE
What Is Lab Testing Coordination?
A retailer or a customs broker has asked you for a test report, and the regulation it cites runs to hundreds of pages. We don't operate our own laboratory. We work out which tests your product and destination market require, collect the samples at the factory during an inspection visit, manage the shipment to the partner lab, and hand you what comes back. The lab — not TruMark QC — performs the testing and issues the certificate under its own CNAS / ISO 17025 accreditation.
An electronics importer skipped CE testing on 5,000 Bluetooth speakers and saved $450. French customs seized the shipment at the border — no CE mark, no entry. Seized goods, storage fees and emergency re-sourcing came to $180,000.

CE testing came back with 3 failures. We fixed them before shipping and avoided customs seizure.

Common Concerns

Honest Answers to Tough Questions

A factory's certificate covers that factory, not the thing you are shipping. Customs officers and retail compliance teams ask for a test report against your product, your materials and your destination market.

Most compliance tests complete in 5-15 business days, and we run testing in parallel with your production schedule so it rarely sits on your critical path. Expedited turnaround is available at partner labs when a shipping window is tight — we flag the timeline before you commit.

No. The accredited third-party lab performs the testing and issues the official report and certificate under its own accreditation. We coordinate the process and deliver those lab-issued documents to you — which is exactly what customs and retailers want to see.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Depends on your destination market and product type. We provide a free regulatory requirements consultation before any testing begins.

Our coordination fee starts at $150, and the partner lab's testing fees are passed through to you at cost (from $300, depending on the scope of tests). You always see the itemized lab quote before anything is committed — no markup on the testing itself.

Yes. Our inspector can collect the required samples during your existing PSI or DUPRO visit and ship them straight to the partner lab, so you avoid a separate sampling trip and keep everything on one timeline.

The lab report identifies exactly which requirement failed and by how much, with the lab's corrective guidance. After you fix the issue we coordinate expedited re-testing with the same lab to confirm compliance before you ship.

The accredited third-party lab issues the official test report and certificate under its own CNAS / ISO 17025 accreditation — not TruMark QC. We coordinate the process and hand you the lab-issued documents, which is what customs and retailers require.

Field screening tools

Catch issues between lab tests

Handheld screening tools let your team check for common problems on the production floor in the weeks between accredited lab tests. They are field screening aids — not a substitute for certified laboratory testing, and they do not produce a report customs authorities or retailers accept.
